History of DC

Leaders & Mentors International (L&MI) is a management consulting company registered in Ghana in September 2013. Our business expertise are in the following areas;

  • Management Consulting
  • Training and Development
  • Life/Interview/Executive Coaching
  • Facilitation of Retreats, Strategy Sessions, Away Days, etc.
  • Organization and Facilitation of Leadership Camps and Clinics

L&MI is proud to have served very reputable companies and organizations since it commenced business. Our key clients are listed on our main website; In Q4 of 2015, we came up with a 3-Year Strategic Plan.
The highlights of that plan, among others, was the design of a youth leadership development and mentorship program; and one key component of that program is to run an annual residential youth leadership camp.

Our target are youth aged between 13 and 19 years, most of whom will be in High School or in their early college years. We believe they are prime to discover themselves, appreciate their innate abilities, unearth the leadership in them and be exposed to the right attitudes and skills required to succeed in life and business.

In a continent that has a yawning deficiency in exemplary leadership, we aim to complement the work of other groundbreaking institutions like the African Leadership Academy, Ashesi University and YALI to raise a new breed of youth who are self-confident, with integrity and ethics, armed with critical leadership skills and passionate about excellence in whatever they do, and to expand their opportunities to fill leadership roles in Africa and beyond.

DC-16 is our maiden youth leadership camp, and it has been designed as a non-academic program, that is activity-heavy with the aim of enabling participants to enjoy, draw out and retain experiential lessons for themselves. We find this approach a very effective training methodology and this is now recognized by many clients as a unique L&MI style.
